Let us pray for one another…

Dear friends, I invite you to post your prayer requests on this page. Also please remember to check back from time to time to update yourself on the prayer needs of your brothers and sisters on the blog. If you are posting a request, please use first names only or an alias for reasons of privacy. God knows who you are and that is enough. I place all your requests in the Immaculate Heart and will pray for all needs daily. May our merciful Lord grant us healing and strength.

  1. Thank you so much….. The police just left……they found my son crying (they know him) and came to talk to me. They left as he wasn’t a “danger to himself or others”….their hands are tied…….My son is so tortured by the “voices” he hears……….your prayer for him is a gift……

  2. Offering up prayers for your son through the intercession of St Benedict Joseph Labre, patron saint of the homeless and those with mental illness. Prayer to St. Benedict Joseph Labre:

Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, you gave up honor, money and home for love of Jesus. Help us to set our hearts on Jesus and not on the things of this world. You lived in obscurity among the poor in the streets. Enable us to see Jesus in our poor brothers and sisters and not judge by appearances. Make us realize that in helping them we are helping Jesus. Show us how to befriend them and not pass them by. Amen.

  3. Dear Janet, I have prayed the Prayer of Miraculous Trust for your son. I asked for the intercession of St Benedict Joseph Labre (thank you, Pam, I did not know he is the Patron Saint of those with mental illness)

I pray also for you, Janet, that God will give you strength and support in this heartbreaking situation.

    God bless you.

  4. Janet, I will surely pray for you and your son.

My husband’s cousin was afflicted much like your son and his poor aunt and uncle could never get his cousin the help she needed because lawyers would get her out of any institution that she was taken to–it went on for some time. A very holy woman I know told me to pray that God would send her a priest. (this family was not Catholic) so for quite a while at the Consecration at Mass I placed her in the chalice of the Precious Blood. This same holy woman told me that under no circumstances should I try to say any deliverance prayers or anything but stay far from that, but to pray that God would send a priest. Miraculously, a few years after I started praying for her at the Consecration, she found her way into a Catholic church and would sit there in front of the Blessed Sacrament (again, not Catholic!!) because it was the only place she said she could feel at peace. A priest from the parish saw her there and talked to her. She began to see him on a regular basis and though her mother feared “religion” would be destructive for her, it seemed to bring her peace. She went to that priest for years and began to attend Mass. She died in her 60’s and although she was always afflicted with the psychotic condition, she seemed to be able at last to live somewhat peacefully.

It was a very hard cross, for her, for her parents, for the whole family. I am so sorry you must carry this cross too but please please live in hope. God does hear your prayers. Trust dear sister. All of us here are praying. God bless.

  6. Dear Prayer Warriors;

It lightens my heart to know you are praying for us… some days it is so hard to Thank Jesus for this most heavy cross…..But I do so whether I feel it or not. My journey has been a difficult one, was married for 27 years to an abusive alcoholic (divorced 16 years), my daughter survived Columbine shootings however 5 murdered were neighbors, survived a crush injury, Praise God, my father’s death….all this happening in the same year and a half….I survived!!! My son’s illness supersedes ALL these crosses…….I feel I have been in the Garden of Gethsemane most of my life. I am not a victim, I know God has a plan. Good will come out of all this! I just feel so broken down and tired – I am all my son has. I pray for all of you, I pray for a miracle and most especially, pray that God’s will be done through this. Thanks for allowing me to vent, I don’t feel so alone…..May God be glorified by your compassion and prayers!!

  9. Hi Vivi (and all prayer warriors)
Thank you for your prayers. I do pray deliverance prayers and use blessed oil, blessed salt and holy water. My goal, my prayer, my miracle to come is that he realize how much he needs help and gets it…..and if he refuses to realize he needs help that by God’s grace he be involuntary committed. I pray for all of you daily and so appreciate your prayers. Since I first wrote, I have experienced relief to my anxiety….YOUR PRAYERS HAVE HELPED! I also pray that this nightmare I have been living Glorifies God and also ends soon. Please keep holding us up in your prayers and I will do the same. God bless you all and thank you.

  11. Dear Family,

If you have a chance, please remember me and my family in your prayers. I have been experiencing exhaustion recently in trying to keep up with all of my daily duties for my children and family. That and some internal struggles as well. I am offering it up, but I just ask that maybe you could send out some prayers for strength and energy for me to keep up with my little ones. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but a daily struggle with disabled kiddos wears on a mother and father especially when there is NO respite. They are sometimes up and at mischief in the middle of the night even. Please please just a little something will help. Thank you. I love and pray for you all.

    1. God is so good to use our little prayers to help others. It is good to remember on this feast of St. Therese, the Little Flower, how God will use anything we can give him, if it is offered in love. Blessed be His Holy Name!

  13. Dear Peli Community of Pray-ers, Can I humbly ask for your prayers for my husband (turned 60 today) who was just diagnosed with DVT (blood clot in leg, and also lung) on top of a host of other health issues (emphysema, diabetes, two heart-attacks in February, kidney stones, needs knee-replacement, and the list goes on…) He’s being belligerent and stubborn in not wanting to go to hospital. As he’s not a believer I’m particularly concerned about his eternal salvation. Thank you to all… Jesus I trust in You.

  17. Please pray for my niece’s mother-in-law, Madelaine, who after surgery, became paralyzed and has been told she might not walk again. Now she is living in a group home and is unable to receive the physical therapy she was getting in the rehab. We are going to call her tonight. They say she does not seem depressed, but it is a lot to adjust too. Thankyou.

  18. Blessings all. We are living in dangerous times. The Supreme Court of Canada last February ruled that the Canadian law that makes it illegal for anyone to help people end their own lives should be amended to allow doctors to assist ‘a competent adult person who (1) clearly consents to the termination of life; and (2) has a grievous and irremediable medical condition (including an illness, disease or disability) that causes suffering that is intolerable to the individual,’ to end their life. “Irremediable” may mean that they are refusing treatment and therefore, their illness is not curable. One of our parishioners is a doctor here in the province of Alberta. He told me today that the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (professional association) is considering going beyond “competent adults” to include “mature minors”, and also will be requiring doctors who object to active participation in euthanasia or assisted suicide to make sure these patients have access to the “care” they are requesting, making them an accessory to the act. Lord have mercy! Please keep this in your prayers. The Canadian government has been given until February 2016 to respond to the Supreme Court’s ruling and change the law on euthanasia and assisted suicide. The Alberta College wants to have a policy in place should the law change. Yikes! The dictatorship of relativism is here and now. If you are not Canadian, please pray for us, and if you are Canadian, please contact your Member of Parliament and the Prime Minister. Just as with abortion, if the law is struck down, God help the most vulnerable. Jesus and Mary we trust in you. Take care of everything, and everyone!

He’s being bullied in school. and from what i can gather its happening mostly on the way home from school on the bus. the kid that its mostly by is older than him, this is high school. my son is in junior high. he’s already been roughly handled by this kid and screamed at shouting curse words to his face, putting his hands over his mouth so my son could not say or scream back..pooring water on him. poked at, dirt and sticky stuff has been put in his back pack. this has been happening over the past couple of months now. and i finally called the school about it yesterday.. please pray for his proctection and that we figure out how to take care of this problem. come to find out this kid lives in the same park as we do so he’s practicaly our neighbor which makes it most annoying.. my knee jerk reacion is to take him out of school and home school him. my son ask me not to say anything because he is afraid of getting in trouble with the bully. I was so heart broken to hear him like this. I thank you inadvance from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers. … stella

    1. Oh dear, Stella! This is so horrible! One of my brothers was bullied too many years ago. One feels so helpless. There is a Hedge of Protection prayer on the Prayers and novenas page. Don’t forget to invoke his guardian angel every day and teach him to do it too. Also the Holy Spirit.

Jesus we trust in you. Take care of Stella’s son for us please. Take care of everything, and bring that bully to repentance. Whatever is causing him to be a bully Lord, please expose it so he can get help and never do this again. We ask this in the Divine Will through the Flame of Love. Amen.

  21. Dear Peli.
Please, I am asking, begging infact, for an infilling of the Holy Spirit. I so much desire to have a baptism in the Holy Spirit. I am hoping for the gift of tongues and what ever other gifts the Lord wishes to give. I feel i desperately need them to do His Will. I remember a quote from our Blessed Mother .. ” When one has the Holy Spirit one has everything ” I think this is from one of Her messages for Medjugori ..
