If I showed you what the world would look like without your prayers, you would be appalled…

Wisdom 18:22 He conquered the wrath not by strength of body, not by force of arms, but by his word he subdued the avenger, appealing to the oaths and covenants given to our ancestors.

“My beloved children, do not make the grave error of discounting the effect of your prayers, your humble prayers, on the divine wrath. Already my much-wounded heart has been appeased through your little offerings. How can I encourage you in this? How can I convince you that your efforts are having their effect? If I showed you what the world would look like without your prayers, you would be appalled. So, if your prayers seem to go unanswered, do not give up. It is only that I have applied your prayers to a higher purpose. Then offer me your disappointment, wrapped in the words: ‘Jesus I trust in you. Save souls!’ I tell you, even in your disappointment you will be filled with joy!”

O my Lord, Blessed Trinity of Love, how can we begin to comprehend your love and mercy? That even your ‘no’ is a ‘yes’—yes to a much greater good. In the Divine Will, help me to always respond as I do now—Jesus I trust in you. Save souls! Amen.

Give me your pennies and I will open the storehouse of heavenly goods!

2 Thessalonians 1:4-5 Therefore we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith during all your persecutions and the afflictions that you are enduring. This is evidence of the righteous judgement of God, and is intended to make you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering.

“My beloved, all that you are enduring is for your ultimate good and the good of those I have given you to pray for. Do I take pleasure in suffering? No! But my great joy is to give you far more in return than you can ever imagine. Give me your pennies and I will open the storehouse of heavenly goods! I do not exaggerate, for in the Divine Will this is more than possible, it is being done already through the small sacrifices of those whose generous hearts offer all to me. I say small sacrifices, because when you see what they have been able to purchase you will be amazed at the extravagance of your loving Abba. Then offer me everything, a thorn in your finger, a stubbed toe, the death of a loved one, your own illnesses—leave nothing out. So many souls are in need. Suffering is the currency of love. Offer all to me and you will be filled with love and great joy.”

O my beloved Abba, in the Divine Will I offer you all that I have suffered in my entire life and all the sufferings of all souls of all time. I redo all sufferings in the Divine Will to make of them a perfect gift of love. Eternal Father let these poor pennies purchase souls for the kingdom and may your kingdom come quickly. Amen.

Offer prayers and sacrifices in the Divine Will, and the duration and intensity may yet be lessened…

Hosea 9:2 Threshing-floor and wine vat shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail them.

“My beloved, see I make all things new. The old ways of sin are passing away. The new ways of righteousness have been conceived and await the hour of birth. The labor will be fierce but do not despair. In due time, joy will make the days of sin a faded memory, a dream that one awakes from and is overjoyed that it is over. Be patient. Pray for strength and KNOW that the labor is finite. Offer prayers and sacrifices in the Divine Will, and the duration and intensity may yet be lessened. Children I am near and I eagerly await our new life together.”

Blessed Trinity of Love, I praise and thank you in the Divine Will in the name of everyone for all you are doing to bring about the kingdom of the Divine Will. In the Divine Will, through the Flame of Love I offer all my prayers and sufferings, as well as every shard of suffering ever endured so that your kingdom may come quickly and that the labor will be of short duration and less intense than we deserve. Jesus, give us strength and hope. We place all our trust in you. Save souls! Amen.

Two dreams…

I had this dream recently, just before waking:

Christians were being rounded up. Someone came and told me to get in line. We were told to walk in single file with our hand on the shoulder of the one ahead of us. I didn’t know any of the others in line, but somehow I knew that the young woman ahead of the young man in front of me was not Catholic. She seemed very excited and was telling the young man about a big change that was coming. He said, “You mean I’m going to change?” She replied, “Everyone’s going to change.” I thought, that sounds like the illumination. She seemed to think it would happen very soon. We came to the place where they wanted us and broke ranks. She said that anyone who wanted to teach others about this, to come with her. I was thrilled at the prospect and followed her with great anticipation that this long-awaited event might be imminent.

I share this dream with the caveat that dreams are subject to interpretation, and timelines are not to be taken literally. Is the rounding up of Christians a sign? Possibly, but let us not become too caught up in signs, except the sign of Isaiah 7:14. I have learned to interpret dreams as calls to prayer, so I want to encourage us all to step up our prayers for souls, especially those who will die suddenly, but also for those who will experience the painful experience of the illumination of their soul, either in a worldwide event, or at the moment of their death, as in that avalanche in Italy. The enemy never sleeps and wants to discourage all souls from believing in the infinite mercy of God.

Most effective are the Flame of Love prayers, which “blind satan”. Of course, praying in the Divine Will not only gives infinite power to our prayers, but it also keeps us from praying in our own will. Let us beg the Holy Spirit to take our prayer to a much higher level than we could ever manage on our own.

A couple of days later, again just before waking, I had another dream, very brief. Some demons were in prison and were anticipating their imminent release. I feel this is a call not to become complacent with our prayers, but to increase our prayers and sacrifices wherever possible, even offering our every moment in the Divine Will, so that every moment becomes a prayer. When I awoke I prayed the Flame of Love prayers in the Divine Will and felt the strength of those prayers. I often pray this prayer repeatedly during the day or if I’m awake in the night: “Holy Mary, Mother of God, spread the effect of grace of Thy Flame of Love over all of humanity, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.” (Sometimes if it seems appropriate I add a name: “…over ___ and over all of humanity…”)

If you are not praying the Flame of Love prayers, you are missing a singular grace. Please read my blog post from 2014 here: https://pelianitoblog.wordpress.com/flame-of-love/, or go to Anthony Mullen’s site: http://www.flameoflove.us/ .

Friday’s Mass reading offered great hope: Hebrews 8:10-13 This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach one another or say to each other, “Know the Lord”, for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful towards their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.’

Oh Jesus! May your kingdom come and come quickly! May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Amen.

The battle for souls…

Happy feast day of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, dear friends!

I have two dreams to relate to you. One I posted in April, 2007. The other is a dream I had in the week before Christmas this year. I feel that both are calls to pray for those who may die suddenly and unprepared. This seems a dire message given that we are celebrating a New Year. But please remember that God would not send me these dreams and this message if there was no hope attached. Do not let this message fill you with dread, but with the firm belief that God will hear your prayers for souls and use your sacrifices to save many who may be lost without them. Death is hard for those left behind, but the real tragedy occurs when souls are lost. Offering prayers for souls is one way that we can be a sure sign of hope for others.

First Dream – April 2007

I was in a car by the seashore. Suddenly the sea started to rise very quickly. Many people were unprepared. I saw that many of the unprepared were famous people. They were trapped by the rising water and drowned. Then a great tsunami rose and rushed towards us. We could not escape it but I felt that we had a better chance of surviving if we stayed in our car, thinking that the car could take the pounding better than we could and we might escape with our lives.

I felt afterwards that this dream was a call to pray for those whose hearts are spiritually unprepared and who are in grave spiritual danger. Our “vehicle of safety” is the Church. It will be battered by upcoming events, but we are far safer within it than we would be outside of it.

Second Dream – December 2016

I was looking out over the harbor and saw a large cruise ship being towed into port by a tug. I thought, “That’s unusual. We don’t usually get cruise ships here.” After it docked I went to see it. There was absolutely no sign of life on it or around it. After waking I felt the ship represented death.

I believe these dreams may be related and that the events of the first (the death of many famous people) may be a sign for the timing of the second. We have just come off a year where an unprecedented number of famous people have died, probably many of them unprepared. In Canada we are also in mourning for all those who have taken their own lives through physician-assisted suicide. Ever since I had the first dream, I have been praying for those who will die unprepared. I believe the second dream is in turn an encouragement to pray even harder for those poor souls. I encourage all of us to do so. Here is the prayer I pray daily at the end of my Divine Mercy chaplet:

“Merciful Jesus, lover of souls, we beseech you by the agony of your most Sacred Heart and by the sorrows of your Immaculate Mother, to wash clean in your blood the sinners of the whole world who are now in their final agony, but especially those on their way to eternal damnation and who are to die this day. Heart of Jesus, who suffered death’s agony, have mercy on these poor souls. Amen.”

We are a people of hope and our God of hope has given us powerful weapons against the culture of death, one of the greatest of which is the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. We know we can trust Jesus and believe in the promise he made to St. Faustina:

“At the hour of their death, I defend as My own glory every soul that will say this chaplet; or when others say it for a dying person, the indulgence is the same.” (Diary, 811)

“My daughter, encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet. … Write that when they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior.” (Diary, 1541).

God’s mercy is unimaginable! Even more so in that he uses weak sinners as his instruments of mercy on earth. Just as St. Faustina was often taken in spirit to the side of dying souls so she could pray the chaplet in their presence, in the Divine Will we can ask for the same grace, for nothing is impossible for God. “Jesus, in the Divine Will, take me into the presence of those in most dire need of your mercy as I pray this chaplet…”

God is calling us to participate in his ministry of salvation. May our Blessed Mother guide us and help us in the battle for the souls of her beloved children.

O my Jesus, I love you, I trust you, I surrender myself to you. Please take care of everything and everyone in my spiritual territory. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you. Save souls!

Like the woman, keep breathing, keep praying, and concentrate on the work at hand…

Joel 1:15 Alas for the day! For the day of the Lord is near, and as destruction from the Almighty it comes.

“Beloved, the labor pains are in full blossom, yet the labor is not over. For just as for a woman nearing the time of giving birth the pains intensify, so too you will see much more in the coming days. Just as a woman has to keep in mind what she is laboring for, so you too should keep in your mind the promised Era of Peace. Crucifixion must come before resurrection. Like the woman, keep breathing, keep praying, and concentrate on the work at hand. All shall be well dear children. I am near.”

Beloved Father of my heart, I love you! In your mercy, keep us from despair as we labor to give birth to your gift of peace. What joy that will bring to us. May your kingdom come and come quickly. Amen.

I am coming to restore the earth, but first, what is corrupted must be destroyed…

Zephaniah 1:17 I will bring such distress upon people that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against the Lord.

“Oh my child, how I long to take all my dear children to my breast to comfort, heal, and restore them. But they turn away from my love, from my merciful heart. They run headlong into their own grief and destruction. In their sinful folly, they bring distress on their own heads. Woe to all the inhabitants of the earth! Sorrow and woe! Little remnant, do all you can in prayer and sacrifice to offer reparation to my much-wounded heart. Do you think I take delight in the death of the sinner? On the contrary—I long for him to turn back to me and live. Pray constantly, dear children. I am coming to restore the earth, but first, what is corrupted must be destroyed. Lean close, my children. I am with you through it all.”

O my Jesus, draw me closer to your merciful heart than I could ever manage on my own power. Take all that I have to give, my joys and sorrows, my weakness, my love. Take my every thought, word, deed, heartbeat and breath, purified in the Flame of Love, and in the Divine Will apply it where it would do the most good. Jesus, I love you, I trust you, I surrender myself joyfully to your loving, perfect plan for all humanity. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! Renew the face of the earth!

Let all those who are persecuted for my sake be filled with the joy that surpasses all understanding…

Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

“Beloved, do not fear persecution, but see it as a sign of great favor. Through it you grow to resemble me more and more. When the Father looks at one who has been persecuted for my sake, he does not see a weak and weary soul, but only the glory of the Crucified. Pray for strength to endure all that will gain you the kingdom. Persevere, and the God of all mercy will reward you with a glorious crown. I am with all those who suffer for my sake. I am very near to them. Let no one despair, but let all those who are persecuted for my sake be filled with the joy that surpasses all understanding.”

Oh my Jesus, thank you for your nearness and for this timely word of encouragement. Give us strength. Help us to persevere. Let us feel your nearness in our time of need, and if we do not feel it, give us the grace to trust in your unfelt nearness with all our hearts. Jesus, we trust in you. Thank you for all your favors—whatever form they take. Amen.

Rather than excusing the sinner, the merciful one reaches out to the sinner and draws that one into the ocean of mercy…

Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.”

“O my child, if you knew the true power of mercy, you would never stop learning about it; you would not cease to practise it. Yet, what is mercy? Does it excuse the sinner? No, there is no excuse for sin. Rather than excusing the sinner, the merciful one reaches out to the sinner and draws that one into the ocean of mercy. For you, the perfect practice of mercy is impossible. Then, do not rely on your own limited capacity, but dive deep into the ocean of my mercy and bring with you all those whose hearts are far from me. Believe me, to drown in the ocean of my mercy is to find yourself in heaven, for my mercy dissolves all that is not pure. Can you fathom this, child? It is too much for the human mind and even angels are in awe. You will never comprehend it in this life, but it will give me great joy in the next life to show you how much your merciful heart was able to accomplish through your great and ever-growing trust in me. Do not despair, dear ones, but be as those who have drowned in mercy, and in that drowning have been reborn as agents of mercy. Give me souls, my children! My merciful heart longs for souls. What price will you pay? Ah, but I have already paid the price. Still you must offer me all you can in the Divine Will. I can use it all. Dissolve yourself in my mercy and we will accomplish much for the kingdom.”

O my Jesus, what words of comfort! Help me to throw myself into the ocean of your mercy until I am completely dissolved in it. Help me to bring poor sinners to you and drown them in your merciful heart. Help me to trust in your mercy, even when I am tempted to doubt. Jesus, Merciful One, I trust in you. Save souls! I give you all my joys and sorrows, my pains and sufferings, my sacrifices and prayers, my every breath and heartbeat, in the Divine Will, for the sake of the souls you died to save. Praise to you, O Merciful One! Amen.

Fasting crucifies the earthly passions, and prayer gives you the grace you need to be able to fast…

Matthew 4:3 The tempter came and said to him, ‘If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.’

“My beloved, the tempter knows your weakness and waits for the perfect opportunity to tempt you. He will use your earthly passions against you. That is why you must fast and pray. Fasting crucifies the earthly passions, and prayer gives you the grace you need to be able to fast, and fast well. There is a form of fasting the feeds the pride. This form is abhorrent to me and has the opposite effect than the one fasting had hoped for. Let your fasting be first of all from pride. When you fast, do not consider how well you have done or how poorly, but in all humility give me whatever you can, and do not calculate the merit of it. You will be very surprised at the end of your life at what was credited to you as merit. Be completely detached from all results. Be humble, be faithful, and give everything to me. Children, the tempter has no power over a humble soul, for that soul carries the odor of Jesus and Mary; he cannot come near. Be little and be grateful for all you have been given. All is gift, dear children. Return it all to me and be at peace. Shalom.”

Beloved Father of my heart, I give you glory and praise your name for all your many gifts to this unworthy sinner. Help me to see my own nothingness and to give back to you all you have given to me. O beloved Father, Abba, I love you! Amen.
