In preparation for he 100th anniversary of my Mother’s appearance at Fatima, would you observe a time of reflection in the nine days preceding it…

Nehmiah 8:14 And they found it written in the law, which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the people of Israel should live in booths (tabernacles) during the festival of the seventh month.

“Beloved, the Festival of Booths begins this year on October 4. In preparation for he 100th anniversary of my Mother’s appearance at Fatima, would you observe a time of reflection in the nine days preceding it, beginning on the first day of the Festival? Let each one decide how they will observe the novena—by fasting, prayer, or by retreating from the world. In some way, let my children retreat to the tabernacle of their hearts and pray for the coming of the kingdom, for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart, for the conversion of sinners, and for reparation to be made to my much-wounded heart. Oh my children, do me this honor! I greatly desire it and the world greatly needs it. I will bless even the smallest effort. Do all in the Divine Will, through the Flame of Love, on behalf of everyone and you will accomplish far more than you can imagine. You do not know how much I long to reign in men’s hearts. What joy when I do! Help me!”

O my Jesus, FIAT! Grant each of us the grace to know what is the best way for us to participate—as our daily duty allows. In the Divine Will, through the Flame of Love, bless our efforts to cooperate with your unimaginable graces for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the coming of the Kingdom of the Divine Will! O Jesus! I long for this with the longing of our Mother, which irresistibly drew you to earth at your Incarnation. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus—come to reign in our hearts! Amen.

(Note: The beginning of the Festival of Booths, October 4, also corresponds with the feast of the Transitus (passing to eternity) of St. Francis of Assisi. May he assist us as we contemplate what form our nine days of preparation will take. One suggestion is that we spend some time learning how to live more fully in the Divine Will through the writings of Luisa Piccarreta. Please see my page, “Divine Will Resources” for more information. May His kingdom come and come quickly!)

Addendum…

A reader asked for suggestions on how to include our Father in our family events, especially when family members may be away from the Church, indifferent, or hostile to the faith. Here were my suggestions, which I thought added clarity to the post and might benefit others.

Perhaps one person silently inviting the Father, Son, and Spirit into the gathering or event in the Divine Will on behalf of all present, is the best we can do. For God it will be enough for now, as we pray for the conversion of those in our spiritual territory. As for grace at meals, if others are offended by the grace we offer, we can suggest a moment of silent gratitude and silently pray our grace in the Divine Will on behalf of all there. We need to be creative I think. But let us make a conscious effort to remember our Father in all our activities. And if we forget–and we will forget–perhaps three Our Fathers in reparation could be prayed at the end of the day. Our guardian angels can be enlisted to help us remember. They just need to be asked!

Much reparation needs to be made for the pride and ingratitude of creatures…

Psalm 148:11-13 Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth! Young men and women alike, old and young together! Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his glory is above earth and heaven.

“Beloved, do not underestimate the power of the praise of God. There is rightness and righteousness in it. What do creatures have that does not come from me? Yet, not only do they fail to praise and thank me, but they fail to acknowledge me at all, thinking that all the goods they enjoy have come about through their own efforts and ingenuity. They do not even acknowledge that their ingenuity comes from me! What folly! Children, much reparation needs to be made for the pride and ingratitude of creatures. Offer me, in the Divine Will, all that creatures owe me and you will not only be offering reparation, but you will be assisting in their redemption, and not least, you will be hastening the coming of the kingdom. Children, look around and see how few even acknowledge my existence. The evil one thinks he is winning a great victory. Pray as I have said and you will steal his victory from him.”

O my dear Father, Creator of all that is, munificent Benefactor, glorious, generous, bountiful God, in the Divine Will may your name be praised in all creation! In the Divine Will, I offer you, on behalf of every man, woman, and child, of every king, queen, prince, princess and ruler, from Adam to the last man, all the praise and gratitude that all creatures owe you, for your abundant gifts and heavenly graces, for the fiats of creation, redemption, and sanctification, and for all reverberations of those fiats through all time. Lord, your name alone is exalted; your glory is above earth and heaven. All glory and praise to you! Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

They have rejected the God who IS, and deified their own specious pronouncements…

Mark 7:8 (Jesus said to the Pharisees and scribes) “You abandon the commandment of God and hold to human tradition.”

“My child, much reparation is owed me for the great and many sins of the age. For they have rejected the God who IS, and deified their own specious* pronouncements! How much longer must I put up with this generation? The foul stench emanating from them threatens to obliterate the glorious incense of the prayers of my faithful little ones. But do not be alarmed at this, for in the Divine Will, even one little soul at prayer is enough to drown the stench completely. Is this amazing to you? It is not amazing to me! For in my Divine Will all things become possible. Do you believe this?”

Yes Lord! I believe!

“Then become the humblest instrument of my will that you can be. You must decrease so that I may increase in you. Become completely docile to the Divine Will until you, like Luisa—beloved Little Daughter of the Divine Will—become completely fused in It. In this way, one little soul becomes an invincible army! Do not delay your journey into the Divine Will. Long for it with prayers, sighs, and supplications. Learn it, teach it, light the Divine Fire that burns you up like incense. My children this grace is for you, for everyone. Long for it!”

O my beloved Trinity, my merciful Father, Son, and Spirit, I beg for this grace, the grace of union with the Divine Will. Melt me, mold me, annihilate me so that only you exist in me. Burn away in me all resistance. You do it Lord, for I am too weak. Fuse me into your will. Blessed Mother and Luisa, obtain for me this grace by your merits and through your continuous and everlasting Fiat! Amen.

(*I love this word, specious. It means “superficially plausible, but actually wrong.” I had to look it up, and was delighted to find how perfect it was in this application.)

Woe to those who oppress my people!

Jeremiah 12:14-17 Thus says the Lord concerning all my evil neighbours who touch the heritage that I have given my people Israel to inherit: I am about to pluck them up from their land, and I will pluck up the house of Judah from among them. And after I have plucked them up, I will again have compassion on them, and I will bring them again to their heritage and to their land, every one of them. And then, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, ‘As the Lord lives’, as they taught my people to swear by Baal, then they shall be built up in the midst of my people. But if any nation will not listen, then I will completely uproot it and destroy it, says the Lord.

“My child, there is nothing that happens that does not have ramifications in the spiritual realm. Woe to those who oppress my people! I am being scourged and mocked by legions! I am about to rattle the nations, to wake them from their sin and error. Pray for nations, my children. Pray for those who are mercilessly persecuting me in my followers. Do I not feel every one of the blows myself? Do I not weep in the loneliness and despair of those imprisoned for being my followers? Do I not feel the gnawing hunger in my belly that my displaced children feel? You must know that my justice will be appeased in this as in all things. A great shaking* is about to come for the whole world. Pray that souls will be converted. Offer your prayers in the Divine Will for greater efficacy. I will hear you and my mercy will flow through you into the world. Mercy triumphs over justice. Yet the Divine justice is always satisfied. Pray. Fast. Do so in the Divine Will and your will accomplish infinitely more than you can imagine. Children, pray!”

O my Jesus, in the Divine Will I offer you all the sufferings of my life linked to your sufferings and those of your most holy Mother. I do this in the name of everyone from Adam to the last man so that in the Divine Will your justice may be satisfied and your mercy may triumph. I offer this in reparation to the much-wounded Trinity, for the conversion of souls, for the conversion of nations, and for the conversion of those who are persecuting you in your followers. I offer these prayers in the Flame of Love and crown them with the fiats of Jesus and Mary. Blessed Trinity of Love, have mercy! Amen.

(*The “great shaking” may or may not refer to an earthquake. It may be figurative, or it may be literal. One way or another, it will shake the nations.)

Give me your longing children! I will use it to shorten the days…

2 Maccabees 2:5, 7 Jeremiah came and found a cave-dwelling, and he brought there the tent and the ark and the altar of incense; then he sealed up the entrance. (Jeremiah) declared: “The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy.”

“My beloved children, the time is drawing near when this prophecy will be fulfilled. After the time of sorrow, comes the time of glory, the days when my children will know and love me. And they shall be one with me as I am one with the Father and the Spirit. I cannot convey to you adequately how much my heart longs for this. You cannot comprehend the depths of my longing. If I communicated this longing to your heart, it would burst immediately. Children, pray for the coming of my kingdom, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of our Mother. Long for it as I do. If I find even a sliver of longing in a heart, reparation is made for the great and many sins of the age. Give me your longing children! I will use it to shorten the days.”

Jesus, I am filled with longing for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of our Mother. Magnify my poor offering in the Divine Will so that the days of sorrow may be shortened and so that your much-wounded heart will be comforted. Blessed Mother may your longing fill our hearts. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus! Come Holy Spirit! May your kingdom come and come quickly! Amen.

“O my Jesus, may our lips beg our Heavenly Father, together, to obtain mercy.”

Friends I felt called as I was walking one day to invoke the final petition of the Flame of Love Prayer of Our Lord Jesus Christ: “O my Jesus, may our lips beg our Heavenly Father, together, to obtain mercy.” I began to pray a spontaneous litany to the Father by virtue of the holy wounds of Jesus. I submit here my version of this prayer, but would encourage you to pray in your own words as you walk or as you work, to fulfill the final line of the prayer Jesus gave to Elizabeth Kindelmann. With unending gratitude and with great confidence in your love for us through him, we join in his perfect prayer for mercy. For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

You are Simon of Cyrene and I am asking you to carry my cross…

Judith 3:13 The Lord heard their prayers and had regard for their distress; for the people fasted for many days throughout Judea and in Jerusalem before the sanctuary of the Lord almighty.

“Beloved children, weep and wail! Offer me all things, great and small, so that the calamities may yet be mitigated. I have been exhorting you to prayer and sacrifice for many years now. My words fall on deaf ears far too often. You who hear me and heed my warnings must bear the greater share of the burden. You are Simon of Cyrene and I am asking you to carry my cross. Do not take it up reluctantly, but with great joy give thanks to God for the great honor he bestows on you and the great trust he places in you in allowing you to carry so precious a treasure as the cross of Christ. Simon could not have known, but you know. Therefore, when I ask you to carry a burden, embrace it with holy joy. Offer it to the Father in the Divine Will in the name of everyone to make up for what is lacking in those who refuse their mission. Make your fiat one with mine and our Mother’s. Children, beloved ones, I am depending on you. You have no idea what your fiat can purchase. Trust in me, my children. The world is in need of your fiat!”

O my Jesus, forgive me for all the times I have refused to help you carry your cross. How weak I am! But your mercy far surpasses my weakness and so I ask you in the Divine Will to take all my errors and sins and redo them in the Divine Will as if I had done them well the first time. I ask this so your holy will may be accomplished in the world and that your kingdom may come. I give you my fiat linked to yours and to our Mother’s. Jesus I trust in you.

(Note: On Saturday at Mass I was looking at the crucifix and praying for the coming of the Kingdom of the Divine Will. I felt the Lord tell me that the road to the kingdom is the way of the cross. So we need to view the hardships we are asked to endure through the lens of the cross, from the vantage point of the Kingdom. Jesus we trust in you, even if your designs are too mysterious for us. We trust in you. Amen.

Sin has purchased annihilation for the world many times over…

Jeremiah 30:15 Why do you cry out over your hurt? Your pain is incurable. Because your guilt is great, because your sins are so numerous, I have done these things to you.

“Beloved children, what must I do so that you will turn back to me with all your hearts? My gifts are shunned; my precepts are ridiculed. How long must I put up with this faithless generation? Yet my just wrath is appeased by the little efforts of those who offer reparation. Give no heed to how small your offering is, but give it to me wrapped in the wounds of Jesus and the love of my Mother. Children, sin has purchased annihilation for the world many times over. It is only for the sake of those who try to comfort me, those little souls who love me and cling to me—for their sake alone have I relented from allowing sin to destroy the earth completely. You have seen how unity in prayer and fasting, especially when led by my servant, your Holy Father, how it can change the course of world events and even the laws of nature. Then do not hesitate, but run down the path of unity and fidelity. Be at peace, my dear children. Let my nearness be your sole comfort.”

Jesus, beloved, you are our sole comfort and we give infinite thanks for your presence in the Eucharist. We trust in your mercy and offer all our acts, large and small, imperfect as they may be, in the Divine Will, wrapped in the wounds of Jesus and the love of Mary. We make them perfect in the Divine Will in order to offer reparation for the great and many sins of humanity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus! Amen.

The glory of your God is beyond imagining, his countenance more radiant than all the stars of the universe together…

Revelation 1:16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and from his mouth came a sharp, two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining with full force.

“Beloved, the glory of your God is beyond imagining, his countenance more radiant than all the stars of the universe together. His glory cannot be measured. His power is infinite—one word from his mouth can give life or take it. How long must I put up with a people who continually challenges my authority, who mock the omnipotent God, HE WHO IS? You ask how long—well, so do I! The hour of mercy has been prolonged for the sake of sinners, but it will not be extended indefinitely. In fact, it is almost at its end. Now is the time to re-double your efforts at prayer and sacrifice. The time is coming when all mankind will have to choose—are you with me or against me? Pray my children! That day will be wonderful and terrible. If you knew, you would not stop praying. Give me souls! I thirst!”

O my God, wonderful, magnificent, holy, and almighty, I adore you in the Divine Will in the name of everyone from Adam to the last man! Your mercy is beyond imagining. While we can, we offer you the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, wrapped in the pure love of Mary and the gratitude of the Gloriana for the conversion of a great many sinners through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, especially those you have given us to pray for. Jesus, Mary, Joseph, we love you! Save souls! Amen.
