I found this today and thought it tied in well with the previous message as well as the coming celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy. God’s timing is glorious!
Prayer for Priests
(St. Faustina’s Diary, 1052)
O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so hardened hearts may be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; you yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things.
Acts 6:7 The word of God continued to spread; the number of the disciples increased greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith.
“My beloved, how my heart longs for the day when the everlasting Word is found in every heart, when it is treasured, protected, and defended as the priceless treasure that it is, and when priests treasure The Word more than their own words. Much evil is done by even well-meaning priests who are so little acquainted with the Word made flesh that their words become a tool of the enemy and a trap for the faithful. But let this holy night fill you with great hope and joy! For even the apostles—all but one—failed in their duty as priests on Calvary. Yet what glory was accomplished in them through the Holy Spirit, and how, in the end, they glorified God and furthered the Kingdom. On this holy night, remember in a special way my priest-sons. Pray that they will learn to know the Word, love the Word and live the Word. Your prayers may be all that is lacking in a poor priest, and this will be counted against you at judgment. All the faithful have a role to play in building up the kingdom. Some are like the bricks in the parish church, but bricks without mortar are just a pile of bricks. Let your prayers be the mortar for those priests, so that they can succeed in what they were sent to do. I am near, my children. My mother sends her love and I join her in giving you an Easter blessing +.”
Oh Jesus, thank you! Blessed Mama, thank you! In the Divine Will, in the name of everyone, through the Flame of Love, I lift up all priests, especially those in my spiritual territory and those who have served me in any way during my lifetime. I ask that they would be held and protected in the Flame of Love, safe from the traps of the enemy. I pray that they would be strengthened in ministry and that you would send holy servants to assist them in their kingdom work. May this holy night be for them a new beginning in holiness and love of the Word, Jesus Christ, who is Lord forever and ever. And I thank you! Amen.
Nehemiah 13:11 So I remonstrated with the officials and said, “Why is the house of God forsaken?” And I gathered them together and set them at their stations.
“My child, do you see how my house is empty, forsaken by so many? It is largely due to the fact that the hearts of many shepherds have grown cold. Where is the love that should burn like a lamp day and night? The fire of charity should be a warm glow that attracts poor sinners to the door of my mercy. You must pray for the shepherds. Pray that the fervent will tend their flame and stoke it ever higher. Pray for those whose flame of charity is low. Let your prayers and sacrifices fan those flames higher and higher. As for those whose love has grown cold, my child, do not despair, but offer anew the prayers I have taught you, that the Flame of Love will ignite in them as never before. Our Mother desires that all her shepherd-sons burn with a love that consumes. What will happen to the sheep if the shepherd has no love? Pray for them, my children. Enfold them in the Flame of Love.”
O my Jesus, there is so much apathy, even among the shepherds. Let our Mother’s Flame of Love be ignited in our shepherds so that it will spread to the sheep and they will come home and be welcomed warmly. Mother of God, spread the effect of grace of Thy Flame of Love over all of humanity, especially the hearts of the shepherds, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Joel 1:13 Gird yourselves and weep, O priests! wail, O ministers of the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God! The house of your God is deprived of offering and libation.
“O my beloved, what sorrow will be yours when the house of God is deprived of offering and libation, when the altar of God is desolate and the sacrifice is no more! This is the silence you will endure, a silence more empty than any felt before. Now is the time to fast and pray. Now is the time to worship at the altar of the Lord. Now is the time to be consoled, for in the time of silence there will be little consolation. Yet, my children, remain rooted in hope. My children who call out in trust will be carried in the wound of my pierced heart. Do not trust your feelings, but believe in my love and mercy. Those who endure to the end will not be put to shame, but will be given the finest garments to wear at the Wedding Feast of the Lamb.”
Jesus we trust in you! Help us to fast and pray as we ought, so that your just anger might be appeased. Show us what to do and grant us every grace to do it. O merciful Lord, we trust in you. Jesus we trust in you. Amen.
Amos 9:9 For see, I have given the command to sift the house of Israel among all the nations, as one sifts with a sieve, letting no pebble fall to the ground.
“My child, when the Lord sifts, there is nothing overlooked. If today I am separating the wheat from the chaff, this is cause for joy, for my Bride is being purified. Then do not be alarmed when what is done in secret is exposed to the light. This is an act of justice and of the divine love of Jesus for his Bride. If you find the process painful, then look with my eyes and see that those who have defiled my Bride are bringing destruction on their own heads. See with my eyes how I am restoring her, not to her former beauty, but to a new and glorified beauty unsurpassed in ages gone by. Endure all you are asked to endure, for until the Bride is restored, there can be no peace on earth. Pray for this, my children. Long for it as I do.”
Jesus, may your holy Bride be purified and glorified! Help us to endure with courage and joy what we must endure for the sake of your Bride’s glory. Here are your little servants–we come to live in your will. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus! Amen.
Isaiah 22:4 At this I say: Turn away from me, let me weep bitterly; Do not try to comfort me for the ruin of the daughter of my people.
“Child, there is a time to laugh and a time to cry, a time to mourn and a time to be comforted. Then do not be alarmed at my grief over the ruin that is coming to my Church. One mourns as if for an only child. Love can only weep at this. But, my child, the day of rejoicing will come. Pain, then healing, crucifixion then resurrection, grieving then rejoicing. Grieve with me when you see these things happening, but never let your joy be extinguished. For in the end the triumph is mine, and those who remain with me to the end will be vindicated.”
Jesus, beloved, may our sorrow be one with yours and our joy remain rooted in you. These things are too big for us–but they are not too big for you. We enter into the sacred wound at your side. We stay awake with you in the garden. We share in your sorrow and joy. Come Lord Jesus and do not delay! Amen.
Ezekiel 12:12 The prince who is among them shall shoulder his burden and set out in darkness, going through a hole that he has dug in the wall, and covering his face lest he be seen by anyone.
“My child, pray! For a silence and a sadness is coming to my people. My children have turned against me. I am betrayed once again into the hands of the enemy. Who will stay with me at the foot of the cross? Who will run and scatter? Little child, pray for grace, the grace to stay at the foot of the cross with our Mother. A day will come when all that is familiar will be changed or gone. I say this not to cause you anxiety, but to prepare your heart for the coming trial. Remember always that I am with you. Remember the prayer, and pray it often. Pray it with my Mother at the foot of the cross. Through her tears and anguish she never lost faith—’Jesus I trust in you.’”
Jesus I trust in you. Grant us every grace we need to cling to our Mother at the foot of the cross. Do not let us abandon you, but in the love and power of the Holy Spirit, give us strength, courage, and hope. Jesus I trust in you! Amen.
(Note: I believe this refers to the coming persecution of the Church, especially the clergy. The silence and sadness refers to the coming absence of the Mass and the Sacraments. Let us remember to cling to our Mother and keep the faith: Jesus we trust in you!)
Micah 2:12 I will gather you, O Jacob, each and every one, I will assemble all the remnant of Israel; I will group them like a flock in the fold, like a herd in the midst of its corral; they shall not be thrown into panic by men. With a leader to break the path they shall burst open the gate and go out through it; Their king shall go through before them, and the LORD at their head.
“My child, be at peace. There is no reason to fear. Your Shepherd will be with you even when earthly shepherds are scarce. I will gather you as a hen gathers her chicks. Remain with me, and you will be filled with joy even in adversity. Your hope and promise is in your King who comes to rule the world with justice and the peoples with fairness. Accept no counterfeits. Those who walk in the Spirit of Truth will know the counterfeit from the King of Kings. Trust in me and be at peace. Draw near.”
Lord Jesus, I hide in the wound of your pierced heart. I ask your help and protection for all your faithful. Draw many more into the fount of mercy. Jesus I trust in you. Amen.
Dream: I dreamed I was at Mass and there were two high-ranking priests in the front pew. At one point in the Mass they began to have a very loud conversation. The priest celebrating the Mass was very annoyed but did not wish to say anything in public to the high-ranking priests. I finally lost patience and said, “Do I have to separate you two?” as if they were children. Immediately I felt that I had overstepped my bounds.
This dream came just a few days before the world day of prayer for priests. I believe this is a call to offer prayers and Masses for priests, that they would all grow in holiness.
