Mark 7:14-15, 21 Then he called the crowd again and said to them, ‘Listen to me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside a person that by going in can defile, but the things that come out are what defile.’ For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come.
“My beloved, you are assaulted daily by the sinful ways of this wicked age. Where can you go that your eyes are not assaulted by what is offensive? My child, do all you can to avoid these things, and guard against letting these things take root in your heart. What is passively seen is not sinful—what is actively dwelt upon is a grave danger. If it takes root in your heart, it will be a great struggle for you to uproot it. Now is the time for the utmost vigilance. Ask your holy angel to protect you. Place the Cross of Christ before and behind you—let it surround you. Confess often. Children, this is an age filled with grave spiritual danger. Offer all you can in the Divine Will for the sake of those who have let their guard drop. They are many, and even within the Church! I am much offended. Pray!”
O my dear Father, I am heartily sorry for my part in your offendedness. In the Divine Will, through the Flame of Love, I repent of any lack of vigilance on my part. In your infinite mercy, send your holy angels to keep me from grave sin—from all sin! I ask all this in the Divine Will, through the Flame of Love, on behalf of everyone from Adam to the last man. Lord Jesus, have mercy on us all! For the sake of His sorrowful passion, Lord God, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Amen.
Isaiah 55:6-9 Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
“O my beloved! What sorrow I feel in my heart over all those who refuse my gift of mercy! Increase your prayers and sacrifices in the Divine Will for the sake of those who are in such grave spiritual danger. By this I do not necessarily mean that you need to do more—although you could—but I mean that you can do more in the Divine Will. That is, be more conscious of living each moment in the Divine Will. You have no idea what this accomplishes in the spiritual realm. Then keep this thought before you and do everything together with me as my Mother did. Let me find in you the sweet echo of her life lived in my holy Will. Never for one second did she depart from it, so that her every breath and heartbeat sanctified, purified, and glorified. Do this my children. I am near to you. Do not let your lack of attention rob the world of much-needed sanctification.”
O my Jesus! In the Divine Will grant me the grace to live each small moment in your will. Let your Mother’s sweet song resound in me and through me. May the Divine Will enter into and flow through everything I do, every beat, breath and movement, every thought, word, and work. Here I am Lord, I come to live in your most holy and Divine Will. Fiat! Amen.
Zephaniah 3:16-17 Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands grow weak. The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory.
“Beloved, what do you know to be true? I have told you what is true: I AM! I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Therefore, follow me alone—I AM the Way. Believe in me, believe in my love—I AM the Truth. Live in me and put to death all that is not of me—I AM the Life. Are you afraid? It is because you are looking away from me. “The Lord, your God, is in ‘your midst…’ What then have you to fear? Cling to eternity, and time will have no power over you. Cling to me, and fear will have no hold on you. You will be given a warrior’s strength and you will be victorious!”
O my Jesus, how weak I am! How often I look away! Mama Mary, help me to stay focused on Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life. Help me to be unafraid by helping me to cling to Jesus. Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! Thank you, Jesus. Praise you, Jesus!
2 Timothy 2:20-21 In a large house there are utensils not only of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for special use, some for ordinary. All who cleanse themselves of the things I have mentioned will become special utensils, dedicated and useful to the owner of the house, ready for every good work.
“Beloved, do not seek to know the plans I have for you, but do your part to remain clean and ready for use. My plans are for your good. Trust in me. Remove all blockages to grace. Eliminate bad habits and especially work to eliminate habitual sin, no matter how small a thing it may seem to you. Habitual sins are like the ropes holding down a hot air balloon. Until all are cut, the balloon cannot fly. Work and pray to be delivered of these bindings. Ask and ask again. Confess and confess gain. Try and try again. The only failure is to stop trying. I tell you I will reward you for even the smallest effort. All these tethers are impeding my work. See them for what they are and be glad to be rid of them. We have much to do together. Rid yourself of all that keeps you apart from the Divine Will. Then you will know true joy.”
Jesus for us this is impossible, but for you all things are possible. Then grant us grace upon grace and the strong desire to be untethered, especially from our habitual sins. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, lead us and heal us. Amen.
Joel 1:15 Alas for the day! For the day of the Lord is near, and as destruction from the Almighty it comes.
“Beloved, the labor pains are in full blossom, yet the labor is not over. For just as for a woman nearing the time of giving birth the pains intensify, so too you will see much more in the coming days. Just as a woman has to keep in mind what she is laboring for, so you too should keep in your mind the promised Era of Peace. Crucifixion must come before resurrection. Like the woman, keep breathing, keep praying, and concentrate on the work at hand. All shall be well dear children. I am near.”
Beloved Father of my heart, I love you! In your mercy, keep us from despair as we labor to give birth to your gift of peace. What joy that will bring to us. May your kingdom come and come quickly. Amen.
Matthew 5:11-12 “Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
“My beloved, do not imagine that the journey of my faithful ones is so different from the journey of their Lord. On the contrary, I AM the way and all paths lead through the cross. Remember, my children, that each cross is tailored to the soul. Each is unique, as unique as the soul that bears it. The only similarity in all crosses is that I am with you all in your passion. You need only turn to me and all the strength I had in my passion will be made available to you. This is especially true when one is being persecuted for my sake. Would I abandon that poor soul? Would not the Father see me when he looks at him? When I say that your reward will be great in heaven, do not imagine that I am being trite. Those who suffer on my behalf will be eternally grateful for what that suffering has purchased for them. Indeed, it will seem a far greater reward than the soul feels he deserved for it. In comparison, the trial will seem a small thing—even a large trial. My children, you cannot possibly imagine with what magnanimity your infinitely generous God can act. Be therefore consoled. All that happens in this life is as a passing shadow, over in the blink of an eye. Endure all with faith, fortitude, and great trust. I am with you through it all. Shalom.”
O my Jesus, help me not to get caught up in my daily trials, big or small, but help me to link all trials to the cross so that I may in some way participate in your redemptive act. O Jesus, in your mercy, give me grace, faith, fortitude and ever-greater trust, that I might endure all trials with great love for your glory. I love you Jesus! Amen.
Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
“Beloved, do not fear persecution, but see it as a sign of great favor. Through it you grow to resemble me more and more. When the Father looks at one who has been persecuted for my sake, he does not see a weak and weary soul, but only the glory of the Crucified. Pray for strength to endure all that will gain you the kingdom. Persevere, and the God of all mercy will reward you with a glorious crown. I am with all those who suffer for my sake. I am very near to them. Let no one despair, but let all those who are persecuted for my sake be filled with the joy that surpasses all understanding.”
Oh my Jesus, thank you for your nearness and for this timely word of encouragement. Give us strength. Help us to persevere. Let us feel your nearness in our time of need, and if we do not feel it, give us the grace to trust in your unfelt nearness with all our hearts. Jesus, we trust in you. Thank you for all your favors—whatever form they take. Amen.
Matthew 4:24 So [Jesus’] fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought to him all the sick, those who were afflicted with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he cured them.
“My child, is the Jesus of Scripture different than the Jesus you pray to 2,000 years later? Of course not! What then has changed? Love, faith, and zeal have changed. Even my faithful followers have let worldly distractions dampen their love, faith, and zeal. Love can only grow warmer in the furnace of prayer. Enter into my presence more frequently, or better yet, infuse every moment of your life, every thought, word, and deed with my presence, and your love will be so hot it will consume you from the inside out. When your love has reached the critical temperature, your faith, too, will be a flame that can never be extinguished. Your love and faith will seek an outlet and your zeal will be impossible to contain. Do you see, my dear child, how this was all manifested in the life of Mother Angelica? If you seek to be like her in faith and zeal, begin with love and prayer. Time is short. For those who desire this, abundant graces will be given so that the plan of God will be fulfilled. Tell me of your desire, dear soul, and I will do the rest.”
O my sweet Lord, all is grace! I begin with a desire for increased fervency in prayer, for fidelity and perseverance, for complete trust in your mercy and grace. Dear Lord let this be the fuel that fires the furnace of my love, and may this love ignite in me a burning faith and a holy zeal. Lord, may this all resound to your glory. May your kingdom come and your will be done. Thank you Blessed Trinity of Love. Praise you! I love you! Infuse my every thought, word, and deed so that my self is burned away in the furnace of love, the Flame of Love of our Blessed Mother. Amen.
Matthew 4:22 Immediately [James and John] left the boat and their father, and followed [Jesus].
“Oh my child, the cost of discipleship is very dear! It s the same with anything of great value. If it can be gotten cheaply, can it really be so great a prize? I do not say this to frighten you but to give you an idea of what it means to attain this pearl of great price. Do you want to follow me? Then hold nothing back. Search out your heart. What is it that keeps you from a complete self-giving? Discern carefully. Each call is unique. Some are called to follow me in the mundane chores of daily life, dying to self every day, giving up their own dreams in an act of continual sacrifice. This is following me. Some are asked to radically give up everything earthly and live a life of contemplation. The important thing is to discern your call. Do not covet another’s call. Do not denigrate your call by thinking it is too small a thing to offer God. The important thing, the essence of a call, is faithfulness and total self-giving in whatever station you have in life. Wherever you are, act with love for God and other, and you will accomplish more than you can imagine. Offer all you can to me. Believe me when I say that I can use it all. Link your gifts to the cross, your daily joys and pains—everything. This is how you leave everything behind to follow me, by bringing me into each moment and living only for me. The Divine Will makes this possible. Love, be faithful, and be at peace. I am with you, my beloved.”
O my Jesus, help me to know and discern correctly your perfect plan for my life. Help me to let go of my dreams, that I might live the life of your dreams for me. In the Divine Will, O Lord, redo everything I have done in my life that was not part of your plan. Jesus I repent of my self-will and ask for the grace to always be faithful to your glorious plan for me. Here I am Lord, I come to live in your most holy will. Amen.
Matthew 4:3 The tempter came and said to him, ‘If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.’
“My beloved, the tempter knows your weakness and waits for the perfect opportunity to tempt you. He will use your earthly passions against you. That is why you must fast and pray. Fasting crucifies the earthly passions, and prayer gives you the grace you need to be able to fast, and fast well. There is a form of fasting the feeds the pride. This form is abhorrent to me and has the opposite effect than the one fasting had hoped for. Let your fasting be first of all from pride. When you fast, do not consider how well you have done or how poorly, but in all humility give me whatever you can, and do not calculate the merit of it. You will be very surprised at the end of your life at what was credited to you as merit. Be completely detached from all results. Be humble, be faithful, and give everything to me. Children, the tempter has no power over a humble soul, for that soul carries the odor of Jesus and Mary; he cannot come near. Be little and be grateful for all you have been given. All is gift, dear children. Return it all to me and be at peace. Shalom.”
Beloved Father of my heart, I give you glory and praise your name for all your many gifts to this unworthy sinner. Help me to see my own nothingness and to give back to you all you have given to me. O beloved Father, Abba, I love you! Amen.
