November: The Month of Giving of Ourselves for the Souls in Purgatory

The overarching message given to Elizabeth Kindelmann by our Lord and our Mother is that all passes away and “only our work for souls remains.” At its core, reparation is suffering patiently endured, and voluntary sacrifices made out of love for God and our neighbor. We offer reparation in order to help God (who desires our cooperation in His Divine Work) to release Grace to souls in order for them to repent and convert, and to help mitigate or shorten the time of suffering in Purgatory for the souls detained there.

As November approaches, the month of the Holy Souls, we should be preparing to give of ourselves more out of love for God and for them. Our Lord promised through His Mother that for every Hail Mary prayed with the petition: “spread the effect of the Grace of thy Flame of Love over all of humanity”, our Lord would release 10 souls from Purgatory in November. Thus, over the month of November, we can release 530 souls each time we pray the Rosary! If we persevere over the whole 30 days of November with a daily Rosary with the petition in each Hail Mary, we will free 15,900 souls! Now think about if you pray an extra Rosary a day, and you have your prayer cen

    1. Thank you Val! I’ll go there. I just got back from a retreat–very powerful–and the Flame of Love was spoken of and info passed around. So many hadn’t heard of it. It’s urgent to pray it and I love the idea of one extra Flame of Love Rosary per day. I just got done with a 54 day Rosary novena that ended Oct. 7 so I’m ready to start again. 😉 There was a lot of prophetic word at this retreat–importance of trust, of intercession for our countries and our families and for reliance on The Blessed Mother.

  2. Our priest just announced st Mass that he was going to a liberal conference this weekend. Always liberal, I don’t think he ever announced it to the congregation in the 20+ years that we’ve known him. Are priests and others being emboldened by the Synod? This link is where he and many others are headed. Perhaps they should be immersed in our Flame of Love Rosaries… Good to know about…

      1. Peli and Angelica,

Angelica’s contribution is even more perfect as an answer….since I just began reading the CROWN AND COMPLETION OF ALL SANCTITY by Daniel O’Çonnor. Thank you so very much! 🙂

  3. There is the prayer which promises release of 1000 souls each time we say it. It can be said all through the year. I think especially in November.

Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious Blood of Your Divine Son Jesus.
In union with all Holy Masses offered today throughout the world.
For all the Holy souls in Purgatory,
    For sinners everywhere,
For sinners in my own home, in my own family.
    And for myself. Amen.

I have tried to say this after the Angelus every day.

And I also read we can say.

Merciful Jesus, please cover the poor souls in Purgatory
    With Your most precious Blood,
That You may cool down their scorching flames.

    God bless all here.

  4. Julia–that is a great prayer to pray when passing cemeteries. It seems in these last few years I cannot pass a cemetery without praying that prayer for the souls whose bodies are there but are in purgatory.

      1. @Jo, imagine if every Priest asked the congregation to say this prayer of Saint Gertrude after Holy Communion at Mass in the Month of November, think how many thousands and even millions of souls could be delivered from Purgatory.

The prayer promise is true. I have read of the Imprimatur that a Bishop gives to prayers that are ok with the Church, and this prayer is the real deal.

So if you feel up to it Jo, you could light up the sky with that many souls going to Heaven all of a sudden.

Merciful Jesus, I trust in thee.

  5. Every time I hear of someone’s death, I always immediately say St. Gertrude’s prayer for that soul. Such a beautiful promise to release so many souls, but can also be prayed for one specific soul.

  6. I just noticed, I missed out a line in the prayer of St. Gertrude.

Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious Blood of Your Divine Son Jesus.
In union with all Holy Masses offered today throughout the world.
For all the Holy souls in Purgatory,
    For sinners everywhere,
………..For sinners in the universal Church,……..
For sinners in my own home, in my own family.
    And for myself. Amen.

I say this prayer also while the Priest is consecrating the wine and raising the Chalice at Holy Mass. Have done this for some time now. Hope it will help many, many poor souls in Purgatory as well as sinners everywhere.

Merciful Jesus, I trust in Thee.

Oh, we can start the 33 day preparation for Consecration to Immaculate Heart of Mary today. There is a lovely link in John Martinez. I wished I was clever enough to put the link here. Ready for 8th December and the Year of Mercy.
