Romans 2:1 Therefore, you are without excuse, every one of you who passes judgment. For by the standard by which you judge another you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the very same things.
“Beloved children, do not look at others only to see their faults, but let the eyes of mercy—my eyes—be yours as well. When I look at you I see your sin, yes. But I see also the beautiful child that you are, little and soiled, bruised, yet loved and cherished beyond price. I wait for you to turn your little arms to me and with tears still wet on your cheeks to beg me to clean you up and dress your wounds. Children, if I am ready to look with mercy upon you, why do you judge one another so harshly? I am the merciful judge, impartial and just. Truth alone is the measure of my justice. Therefore my judgment cannot be denied. Children, leave the judgment to me. The Truth alone will decide who will be saved. For your part, act with mercy and compassion. This will go a long way in showing others the way to salvation. Examine yourselves and recommend others to my Divine Mercy.”
Jesus I trust in you. Help me to be an instrument of your mercy. O my Jesus how quick I am to see the faults of others and to excuse my own. Let me only accuse myself and pray for others. Jesus, Lord, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Amen.
