Matthew 17: 22-23 As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is to be handed over to men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.” And they were overwhelmed with grief.
“My beloved child, if my disciples were overwhelmed with grief at this thought, then do not be surprised if you are also disturbed in spirit over the events that are being foretold. However, do remember that you have a distinct advantage over even the holy apostles*, in that you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit. Do not minimize the magnitude of this gift. It is incalculable, farther beyond your understanding than the edges of the universe are to one another. Little one, call upon the Holy Spirit and he will assist you. Do not underestimate his generosity or his power. All this belongs to those who follow faithfully and obediently the path marked out by the Father. Let your grief be quenched in the unquenchable flame of the Spirit. Be not grieved, my children. Be strong. Have faith. Rejoice!”
Come Holy Spirit! May the Era of Sanctification come quickly. Beloved Lord, strengthen us for we are all weaker than we even realize. But in you we have infinite strength. Come and do not delay! Amen.
