The injustices of the world cry out to heaven…

Isaiah 1:16-17 Wash yourselves clean! Put away your misdeeds from before my eyes; cease doing evil; learn to do good. Make justice your aim: redress the wronged, hear the orphan’s plea, defend the widow.

“My beloved, do all these things for love of me and you will surely not lose your reward. The injustices of the world cry out to heaven. Your Lord and his Mother are much grieved at the sinfulness of the children of men. Their sin is the cause of injustice and the world has become diseased. But fear not. Your Lord and Savior will return to set the captives free and proclaim a time of favor for all. My child, continue to fast and pray for sinners, for your prayers will bear much fruit.”

Lord, God of hope, merciful Savior, I thank you for hearing my poor prayers for sinners. Without your grace we would all perish, but with you is found mercy and fullness of redemption. Lord have mercy! Amen.
